Guest Appearances: Maggie Henríquez, CEO, Krug Champagne

Maggie Henriquez Speaking at San Francisco Wine SchoolMargareth "Maggie" Henríquez appeared in person at San Francisco Wine School, in partnership with Women of the Vine & Spirits (WOTVS). In the afternoon, Maggie gave a talk to trade members about her career, and the business of luxury (shown left).

Maggie is very influential in the business of wine & spirits, and is one of few women in the world to occupy a position such as hers. Her influence on the Krug brand is apparent. She helped bridge the gap between tradition and modern business, while remaining patient; a requirement to be successful at Krug. She is an inspiration and role model for anybody interested in business, and of course, luxury champagne!

Maggie Henriquez Speaking with Krug Champagne Glasses in the ForegroundIn the evening, Maggie led a special guided tasting open to the public of 6 Krug champagnes paired with music (shown right). Krug has partnered with several musical artists, from jazz to classical and everything in between. Each piece was proposed by the artist to accompany a specific Krug champagne. It is truly incredible the effect the music has on the taste of the champagne!

This was Maggie's first time leading Krug's champagne and music pairing workshop outside of Maison. Many thanks go to Maggie for sharing her experiences, and providing a memorable experience for those who attended the champagne and music pairing seminar!
