is a classically-trained sommelier, wine educator, and restaurant consultant, having run notable beverage programs and consulted for numerous clients in the bay area, New York, and L.A. for over fifteen years. From running Michelin-rated institutions to curating exclusive private dinners, he brings an irreverent, honest approach to the industry.
After studying Economics, he devoted his studies to wine and spirits, acquiring numerous accreditations, including the distinguished Diploma in Wine & Sprits from the London-based Wine & Spirits Education Trust, the rigorous Certified Wine Educator credential from the Society of Wine Educators, and the French Wine Scholar certification from the Wine Scholar Guild. His extensive travels throughout the globe have included stops in nearly thirty countries and throughout the world of wine, including an extended six-month sojourn in France and Italy.
In addition to his sommelier work and lecturing for the San Francisco Wine School, he is the founder of Prologue Wine Co., a specialty online retailer focusing on rare and classic offerings from Europe and the New World.
When not running Prologue Wine Co. and leading classes for fellow wine aficionados, he can be found drinking cheap beer in exotic places.
