"The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.” - Sydney J. Harris

Whether you're just getting started with wine or work in the industry, this series contains many useful resources that will round out your wine knowledge. San Francisco Wine School Intro Series classes are the perfect way to dip your toe into wine education and learn the basics of tasting, pairing and the world's most important regions. Start with these 8 essential classes designed for entry-level students. When you’re ready for more, dive deeper into each subject with over 75 different 2-4 hour Workshops to choose from.  Or get serious with our 15 different professional-level Certification Programs!

Students will enjoy guided tastings of over 40 wines selected by Master Sommelier David Glancy and our Cellar Master to bring learning objectives to life and practice your tasting technique.  We love bubbles, so in-person guests often bet a bonus wine to enjoy at the start of class!

Hybrid - Room/Zoom

We've recently invested in some serious AV technology upgrades to create an integrated Hybrid Room/Zoom experience for all students, so each individual can choose to participate in-person as a "Roomer" with wine in their glass or online as a "Zoomer" with a custom tasting kit.  Both Roomers and Zoomers have the same wines and are able to engage with us and each other during these live classes. Recordings are also available within 1 business day after the class.  Learn more...
