Returns to primarily red wines and focuses more deeply on the most famous denominations, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello di Montalcino, Super Tuscans, and more: why they are special and terms that may appear on labels such as subzones of production and style variations. The class finishes with a brief discussion of two Italian staples, cheese and coffee, followed by a pre-exam Q&A period.

The workshop can be taken as part of the Italian Wine Professional program or on its own.

As part of this workshop, you'll taste 6-8 wines related to the curriculum.
