Description

The North and Central wine regions of Portugal benefit from the country’s Mediterranean climate and the dramatic differences between the Continental and Atlantic Influences. The diversity of the the terroir can be easily perceived in the wines produced in these areas, which are accentuated by distinct soil variations, from Granite to Schist and from Clay to Limestone. These areas are home to electric and fresh whites, but also to deep and complex reds, both nuanced, textured and structured.

San Francisco Wine School proudly invites you to journey with Wines of Portugal into the past, the present and the future of Portugal's old and fascinating wine culture and taste a broad selection of their treasures.  This is the first of a 2-part series.  Join Part 2 on September 25th as we explore central and southern Portugal and save with
