The San Francisco Wine School is growing to bring all relevant credential programs under one roof and provide world-class training for professionals, collectors and consumers.

We strongly believe in continuing education and continuous improvement. Top industry credentialing programs need not compete, but rather share their student bases. Getting training under more than one system and being tested by organizations that focus on different areas only strengthens individuals moving up in the beverage world. Credentials offer employers confidence in whom they hire and elevate the professionalism throughout the wine and service industries.

San Francisco Wine School is the exclusive Bay Area provider for the French Wine Society (FWS), a credential program that is supported by the various grower/producer councils of France. We also are an approved provider of the Napa Valley Vintners’ Association’s “Napa Valley Rocks” program which is included in our own credential series, California Wine Appellation Specialist (CWAS). The Society of Wine Educators (SWE) has also authorized us to conduct their Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) exam. Continuing education courses for restaurant and wine industry professionals are offered to aid you on the job or prepare for higher level exams with Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Society of Wine Educators and others. Custom courses at your site or ours on any beverage or service topic are available. More credential programs and partnerships will be coming soon!

San Francisco Wine School is the creation of David Glancy, 1 of only 12 people in the world to hold both the Master Sommelier and Certified Wine Educator credentials. The school is a single-owner LLC, owned and operated by Glancy.
