San Francisco Wine School Introduces New Certified Specialist of Wine Program
Nine Part CSW Program Begins March 20, 2013
San Francisco, CA, January 17, 2013- The San Francisco Wine School now offers a comprehensive preparation course for the prestigious Certified Specialist of Wine examination. The Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) credential represents the Society of Wine Educators’ (SWE) recognition that the holder has attained a broad base of knowledge about wine, equivalent to a mid-level wine professional. Candidates for this credential come from both inside and outside the wine industry with widely varying backgrounds. Like many other organizations’ credentials, this is generally a self-study program. San Francisco Wine School has been recognized by SWE as a Private Wine School Provider.
The nine-course series includes a class on tasting technique, chemistry and flaws, as well as courses surveying the world’s major wine producing regions. Tuition for the full series including the exam is $995, and single classes are $89 per class. Classes begin on March 20th, and run until May 22, 2013. The CSW series is held on Wednesdays 6:00pm-9:00pm in South San Francisco.
