Chef / Owner Paul Magu trained in 2-3 star kitchens in Paris, and was most recently at the Ritz Carlton as sous chef, and the St Regis San Francisco as executive sous chef. REVE (dream in French) was opened to bring a classic French bistro to the East Bay. Run by Paul & his wife Laura, we are very involved in the day to day operations. We maintain 4.6 stars - 4.7 stars on YELP & OpenTable. Voted "readers choice" for French restaurant in the East Bay Times, and were recently featured on Check Please! This is a new position for us, as until recently we have had a server / manager combo. We have decided that we need someone to focus exclusively on management, training, and taking us to the "next level".

Duties include:

Wine list management. Currently aprox 80 bottle list 80% French 20% California. Work with vendors / chef to make sure wine reflects items that guests want and compliment our menu. Develop wine inventory / tracking system. Develop training programs for staff & wine / food specials with the chef.

Staff management. Work with owner to create training / incentive programs to ensure the staff is knowledgeable and working together for maximum benefit. Assist in hiring, terminating and scheduling.

Guest Interaction - Be present on the floor during service to assist with wine sales, overall service, and guest satisfaction. Assist in guest recognition program or other ways to WOW our guests & keep them coming back

Social Media - assist in marketing / IG etc

PR - attend occasional social events or trade events as a representative of REVE

Office work - develop accurate beverage management system & maintain. Create SOP data base for FOH positions / duties. Must be proficient in Word & Excel

Schedule: We are open Tuesday - Saturday, dinners only 5-9. We are closed all major holidays (open NYE) and two weeks in August.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in cooperation with the accountant and the Customer Relations Manager to maintain data accuracy and order logistics.
• Report to the General Manager and the Winemaker.
• Attend Industry events as directed.
• The workweek is Monday to Friday with a possible requirement of up to 20 Saturdays of work a year.

 Hamel Family Wines (“HFW”) in Sonoma Valley is seeking an experienced wine professional with an extensive hospitality background for the position of Senior Estate Ambassador. This position will work closely with HFW’s management and hospitality team to drive direct-to-consumer sales by successfully implementing the hospitality philosophy and leading the experiences. The successful candidate will have a background in wine education, a successful track record of wine sales, and high-end hospitality experience. The candidate must also be a high-energy team player who enjoys being part of growing, successful family business. Salary will be commensurate with experience plus benefits.

Senior Estate Ambassador Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, and support, solicited and unsolicited direct-to-consumer sales
- Guide guests through estate tour and tasting experiences, with a particular emphasis on the upper end experiences
- Manage hospitality team on the “floor” during operating hours
- Lead HFW’s concierge services
- Oversee, support, and manage hospitality staff, flow, and operations
- Work with HFW management team to develop and sustain staff educational programs Senior Estate Ambassador Qualifications
- 4+ years of sales, wine, and hospitality experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Basic wine education and experience, advanced wine education/experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Supportively manage and lead Estate Ambassador staff
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and produce desired sales results, meet deadlines, and stay on top of deliverables
- Ability to effectively communicate marketing information, policies, and procedures
- Team player, positive attitude, problem solver
- Other duties as assigned
