The Tasting Coordinator and Office Admin is a critical linchpin in the effectiveness and efficiency of Karen MacNeil & Company. This is a very fast-paced office. The ideal candidate is extremely attentive to detail, and superbly organized. Significant wine knowledge is a must. This is a part-time position but for the right individual may grow to a full-time position.


• Plan, organize and set up office wine tastings

– Request wine samples from producers/distributors/importers

– Unpack and inventory wine

• Serves as primary designer of Gallo Wine and Spirits education programs. Ensures optimal execution of needs analyses, design, development, and implementation of these programs.
• Ensures the effective implementation of large-scale Wine and Spirits programs, including sponsor/stakeholder engagement, change management, communication, and delivery.
• Periodically evaluates the effectiveness of Wine and Spirits education programs, identifies opportunities for improvement, and leads the implementation of needed changes.

The Spirits Supervisor will help ensure the smooth and efficient operational procedures within the stores, enabling the highest level of customer service. Assist with the management of the spirits programs; includes the receiving, merchandising and display of all spirits product in-store, online and additionally promote via social media channels. Additionally, the Spirits Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in the continued education of the PJW&S staff as it pertains to the spirits program.  This position requires wearing many hats and having a can-do attitude is a must.

Supervisors are expected to exceed delivery and expectation all of the Sales Associate responsibilities listed on the sales associate job descriptions. Expected to lead other employees in the completion of store responsibilities and projects, ensuring all employees remain productive with their respective goals.
This is a full-time position that requires working opening and closing shifts, with weekends and holidays being a must. it is roughly 30-40 hours a week, depending on the needs of the business. Key Retail Responsibilities:

• Attend trade tastings and events to promote the PlumpJack Spirits program.
• Create and post spirits related blog posts for the PJW&S website.
• Ensure the retail floor remain fully stocked with spirits items.
• Continually build SOP manuals as it relates to spirits for all primary functions of business, working with the individual employees in development.
• Assist in meeting or exceeding budgeted Revenue and COGS goals while maintaining healthy inventory management.
• Work opening and closing shifts, as well as weekends, depending on the needs of the business.

Job Qualifications & Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience.
• Knowledge and passion for wine, spirits & beer.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, stand for 7-8 hours at a time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
