Special Guest: Corrina Wright, Winemaker & Director, Oliver's Taranga Vineyards, McLaren Vale

Corrina is part of an Australian grapegrowing dynasty. Growing up among the vines in McLaren Vale, The Oliver family are viticultural pioneers, with more than 175 years of grapegrowing experience, supplying 100% of their vineyards’ ultra-premium fruit to surrounding wineries. During her winemaking studies, Corrina convinced her family to give her some fruit from their vineyards to make wine, and Oliver’s Taranga was born.

From her first experimental bottles of Shiraz in the 1990s, Corrina has built Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards into one of Australia’s most exciting and respected wineries. Corrina’s wines are handcrafted and boutique, using only the fruit from the family vineyards. They include an exciting line-up of alternative varieties such as Fiano, Vermentino, Tempranillo, Mencia and Sagrantino.

Corrina has long been passionate about challenging the status quo and making the Australian wine community more diverse and collaborative.  She joins San Francisco Wine School as a special guest panelist for Wine Australia's Old Vine Treasures and The Fututre of McLaren Vale
