Join San Francisco Wine School this September for an interactive screening of SOMM, the acclaimed documentary about the Master Sommelier Diploma Exam. Follow four candidates as they pursue one of the wine world's most extraordinary achievements while enjoying guided wine tastings, live commentary, and behind-the-scenes stories from Master Sommelier David Glancy, who knows the grueling journey firsthand.

The first Master Sommelier Diploma Exam was held in 1969, yet 57 years later, there are still only 299 Master Sommeliers worldwide. SOMM is one of the most celebrated wine documentaries ever produced and offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the years of study, relentless practice, and unwavering determination required to pass one of the world's most challenging professional exams.

Throughout the film, you'll enjoy guided wine tastings tied to key moments in the story, bringing the documentary to life in your glass. David will share insider insights along the way, then conclude the evening with a lively Q&A where you can ask questions about the exam, the profession, and the realities of life as a Master Sommelier.
