MY FIRST WINE CLASS: Delve into the basics of wine from grape to glass in this two-hour workshop.

Get answers to all of the burning questions you have been afraid to ask and learn the basics of wine with our Wine 101 workshop. Learn how wine is made, decode wine labels, understand how to taste & talk about wine, plus important grapes and styles, as well as how to buy wine, storage, service and food pairing. The tasting of 6 wines will focus on the structure of wine, various styles and main grape varieties.

This wine workshop about wine fundamentals may be taken as part of our Intro Series or individually à la carte. Your wine 101 workshop fees can be applied to the cost of the full series if you would like to continue on. Payment plans are also available for the full series.

Hybrid - Room/Zoom

We've recently invested in some serious AV technology upgrades to create an integrated Hybrid Room/Zoom experience for all students, so each individual can choose to participate in-person as a "Roomer" with wine in their glass or online as a "Zoomer" with a custom tasting kit. Both Roomers and Zoomers have the same wines and are able to engage with us and each other during these live classes. Recordings are also available within 1 business day after the class. If you have a tasting kit, it may be picked up at San Francisco Wine School or delivered across the US. Wine parameter lists are available for those participating in locations where kits cannot be delivered. View pickup and delivery options here.
