Description

I had to include a sparkling wine in the club AGAIN, cuz I’m STILL a bubble ho & I’m hoping it’s contagious. Prosecco is pleasant enough, but Franciacorta is Italy’s greatest appellation for sparkling wine, & the first to be mandatory Metodo Classico (2nd fermentation in the bottle). We were so inspired by the wines that we visited before VinItaly in nearby Verona in 2019. I’ve never had a bad Franciacorta, the best can be very expensive, & this one is an amazing value.

Style: dry, white, sparkling | Grapes: 80% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Nero, 10% Pinot Bianco | 1st Fermentation: stainless steel & partial malo-lactic | Aging: 7 months, steel & partly in barrique prior to bottling & 20+ months on lees in bottle | Dosage: 6 g/l | Production: 375ml to 9L Btls | Retail: $30
