Don't underestimate the importance of Germany and Eastern Europe in the wine world. The wines of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire have much in common and just as many differences. Learn the regions, climate, grapes, complex labeling and many styles of wines from Germany, Austria, Hungary and more. We'll explore Spätburgunder, Riesling and more from the Mosel, Rheingau and other regions of Germany, Grüner Veltliner from Austria, Hungary's famous dessert wine, Tokaji, and more.
This workshop is part of our Certified Specialist of Wine program, but can be taken à la carte. Your workshop fees can be applied to the cost of the full series if you would like to continue on. Those who would like to attend workshops online and forgo the wine tastings can apply SKIPTHEWINE at checkout to many online workshops for 40% off. SEE ALL WEBONLY WORKSHOPS
Hybrid - Room/Zoom
We've recently invested in some serious AV technology upgrades to create an integrated Hybrid Room/Zoom experience for all students, so each individual can choose to participate in-person as a "Roomer" with wine in their glass or online as a "Zoomer" with a custom tasting kit. Both Roomers and Zoomers have the same wines and are able to engage with us and each other during these live classes. Recordings are also available within 1 business day after the class.
