Description
We met Gustavo Ortega, the owner of El Cielo, in 2015 at SommCon in San Diego then visited his winery the next year. He started his winery in 2013 & opened his resort in 2019. We stayed on our student road trip in 2023. The wines, restaurant, & resort are world-class.
Nebbiolo is one of the most widely-grown grapes in the VdG but is identical to Lambrusco & not true Nebbiolo.
