Description
Discover the major wine denominations of Northern Italy’s Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Explore the mountainous region between Venice and Slovenia. Learn about the geography, climate, the indigenous and international grape varieties, the importance of “orange wines” and an introduction to foods and culture of the region. A portion of the class will be dedicated to review of northern Italian regions covered in prior classes.
This workshop can be taken as part of the Italian Wine Scholar North program or on its own. As part of this workshop, you'll taste 6-8 wines related to the curriculum. If you sign up for the entire series, discounts apply and payment plans are available.

Format & Location
Hybrid - Room/Zoom
Our Hybrid Room/Zoom experience allows each individual to choose to participate in-person as a "Roomer" with wine in their glass or online as a "Zoomer" with a custom tasting kit. Both Roomers and Zoomers have the same wines and are able to engage with us and each other during these live classes. Recordings are also available within 1 business day after the class.
