Pacific Northwest Overviews & Southern Oregon

This workshop exposes students to the national importance of Pacific Northwest wines and key geological features of that region. Then delves into the history of Oregon wine, that state’s stringent wine-labeling laws and its geography, climate and key grape varieties.

Next, we dive deeply into the intriguing appellations of Southern Oregon. A beautiful area with a unique, almost continental climate, it’s becoming a hotbed of biodynamic viticulture and an excellent source of Rhone and Spanish varieties.

This is the first unit of the Northwest Wine Appellation Specialist program. Your tuition can be applied to the cost of the program if you would like to continue on. This workshop includes tastes of 6-8 wines related to the curriculum.

If you sign up for the entire series, discounts apply and payment plans are available.
