Don’t underestimate the importance of these appellations. Learn about the first elevation based AVA, the source of most California Chardonnay vines and places in between. Travel with us virtually to wine regions, from the Santa Cruz Mountains to the Livermore Valley and the rest of the San Francisco Bay AVA all the way to Lodi wine region and along the rest of the Delta. Terrain, mesoclimates, marine influences, breathtaking ocean views, and soils in these regions produce some the best and distinctive conditions for winegrowing.
This workshop is part of the California Wine Appellation Specialist® program. As part of this workshop, you'll taste 6-8 wines related to the curriculum.
