Coffees, Teas & Bottled Waters of the World

Notify me when space is available:

Let's explore the history and growing regions of the world for both coffee and tea then delve into cultivation of each, the  roasting of coffee and the drying of tea. Different plant varieties and styles of both are covered in detail. Environmental issues, service, and flavor profiles of both are also discussed.

For bottled water we look at the sources, labeling, and differences in mineral content and its impact on the wines we might be drinking alongside our water.

We'll also learn about the structure and trends of the beverage industry and its segments and discover recent changes in consumer tastes and buying habits.

When class is held in-person we taste the 5 major categories of tea. In-class or online we get 2 practice wines for those preparing for the Somm Essentials tasting exam and it's a bonus for others.

This workshop may be taken as part of our Somm Essentials program or individually a la carté. Your workshop fees can be applied to the cost of the program tuition if you would like to continue on. Payment plans are available for the full series.
