Description
Discover the major wine denominations of Northern Italy’s Trentino and Alto Adige. Discover the geographic, climatic, cultural and wine differences between these neighboring regions and much more. Learn where they're located, the indigenous and international grape varieties, German synonyms, the wine styles and an introduction to foods and culture of the regions. A portion of the class will be dedicated to review of northern Italian regions covered in prior classes.
This workshop can be taken as part of the Italian Wine Scholar North program or on its own. As part of this workshop, you'll taste 6-8 wines related to the curriculum. If you sign up for the entire series, discounts apply and payment plans are available.

Format & Location
Hybrid - Room/Zoom
Our Hybrid Room/Zoom experience allows each individual to choose to participate in-person as a "Roomer" with wine in their glass or online as a "Zoomer" with a custom tasting kit. Both Roomers and Zoomers have the same wines and are able to engage with us and each other during these live classes. Recordings are also available within 1 business day after the class. If you have a tasting kit, it may be picked up at San Francisco Wine School or delivered across the US. Wine parameter lists are available for those participating in locations where kits cannot be delivered. View pickup and delivery options here.
