Wine Grapes of the World Series

Take a deeper dive into the world of wine, one grape at a time, while developing your blind tasting skills. Created by Master Sommelier David Glancy, this series explores eight key grape varieties that are grown throughout the world: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Riesling, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Through guided comparative tastings, you’ll learn the similarities and differences between wines made from the same grape variety but produced in different regions. Get ready for some lively discussions with your classmates and instructor as you taste your way around the world!

No prerequisites are required for this series, but if you want to get started with an entry-level introduction to blind wine tasting, check out Intro to Blind Tasting, part of our Intro to Wine series, or Tasting, Chemistry, and Flaws.
