1-Day Somm Tasting & Service Intensive



This fast-paced, comprehensive 1-day intensive workshop focuses on important foundational areas for personal and professional success including blind wine tasting analysis, food & wine pairing, and professional wine service techniques. Created by Master Sommelier David Glancy, this class is perfect for students studying for beginning and intermediate level sommelier exams and those who want to improve their performance on the job.  Enthusiasts also enjoy this eye opening day of personal development!  Taste over 12 wines throughout the workshop.

Students looking for a slower pace, deeper study of these topics or a more comprehensive look at all aspects of the beverage industry should consider our Somm Essentials program.

9am-11am        Blind Tasting Technique
11am-1pm        Food & Wine Pairing Lab**
1:00-1:45pm     Lunch Break - see dining options near us
1:45-5:30pm     Proper Wine, Decanting & Sparkling Techniques and Service

This is the first day of the 2-Day Somm Intensive: Theory, Tasting & Service  program.  It may be taken a la carte or as part of the full program.  If you decide to go on with the full program, your workshop fee will be credited towards the full program tuition.
