Creating a great wine list is easy, maintaining one requires immense effort. Mistakes are costly, both financially and for staff morale and customer service. Learn to excel in the not so glamorous side of being a wine director or cellar master. We’ll review efficient and accurate ways to check in orders, code invoices, stock the cellar, program the POS, update wine lists and inventory sheets, communicate changes and manage countdown and 86 lists. The pros and cons of wine on tap will also be discussed.
This workshop may be taken as part of our Wine Program Management certificate program or individually à la carte. Your tuition can be applied to the cost of the program if you would like to continue on.
Hybrid - Room/Zoom
We've recently invested in some serious AV technology upgrades to create an integrated Hybrid Room/Zoom experience for all students, so each individual can choose to participate in-person as a "Roomer" with wine in their glass or online as a "Zoomer" with a custom tasting kit. Both Roomers and Zoomers have the same wines and are able to engage with us and each other during these live classes. Recordings are also available within 1 business day after the class.
