Sommeliers can identify and articulate the physical structure of the grapevine and the annual cycle of the vine, how viticultural practices such as organic, biodynamic and sustainable differ from mainstream viticulture and from each other, as well as the sequence of events that take place during the winemaking process. Learn winemaking terminology, the differences between red, white and rose winemaking, sweet wine procedures, sparkling, and more! As part of this workshop, you'll taste 6 wines related to the curriculum.
This workshop may be taken as part of our Somm Essentials program or individually a la carté. Your workshop fees can be applied to the cost of the program tuition if you would like to continue on. Payment plans are available for the full series.
