In this warm-climate wine workshop, we'll look for global patterns across the world's warmest wine regions as we travel the world by glass. In this class, we explore ripe wines from warm climates. We'll explore the highlights of Southern France, Southern Italy, Southern Spain, Portugal, Greece, Washington, South America, Australia and South Africa. Our guided tasting of 6-8 classic regional wines will focus on New World vs Old World and traditional examples of Grenache, Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet and Zinfandel.
This workshop may be taken as part of our Somm Essentials program or individually a la carté. Your workshop fees can be applied to the cost of the program tuition if you would like to continue on. Payment plans are available for the full series.
We've recently invested in some serious AV technology upgrades to create an integrated Hybrid Room/Zoom experience for all students. Both "Roomers" and "Zoomers" are able to engage with us and each other during these live classes. Recordings are also available after the class. Whether you are excited to return to our beautiful venue in person with wine in your glass or are enjoying the convenience of home learning with a tasting kit, you can choose the experience that's right for YOU!
