Developed by Master Sommelier David Glancy, this 6-workshop series is designed to enhance your blind wine analysis techniques using some of the trickiest flights that exist! Serious enthusiasts and professional wine students will learn important techniques to help them differentiate between commonly confused varietals and regional influences. As a group we will identify common threads and figure out key differences. Drills will include an emphasis on focus, timing, descriptions and conclusions. Perfect for those preparing for upper level exams and competitions! It combines elements of Court of MS technique, WSET & MW and is also very helpful for CWE, or to simply better understand wine. Master Sommelier David Glancy helps students tackle the most challenging flights of sparkling wines, fortified wines and non-fortified dessert wines. Learn to identify the similarities and differences in each wine and discuss the major regions and styles globally. Decipher what differences are derived from grape variety, terroir, vineyard practices, winemaking or aging.
Timing & Technique Drills
In this workshop, Master Sommelier David Glancy guides students to be fast, fluid tasters. Students will continue to practice their improved blind tasting skills using various techniques and drills to sharpen their focus and improve their timing. Master Glancy will also teach students exam preparation and test-taking strategies to help students work smarter not harder.

Wine is included in this program. Students will taste over 36 wines to bring learning objectives to life and practice your blind tasting techniques. All wines are selected by Master Sommelier David Glancy and our Cellar Master to represent a broad sampling of the classic wines of the world.
