San Francisco Wine School Celebrates Anniversary & Launches Glancy Wine Education Fund Saturday, November 5th

South San Francisco, California (October 6th, 2016) In collaboration with Wine Spectator and the Golden Gate Restaurant Association, San Francisco Wine School invites you to join in for a spectacular Anniversary Celebration and the launch of the Glancy Wine Education Fund on Saturday, November 5th!

While San Francisco Wine School’s 5-year journey to becoming the largest wine school in the country has been filled with excitement and adventure, this event marks the very special 1-year anniversary of the grand opening of their beautiful Wine Education & Events Center in South San Francisco and the perfect occasion to launch the Glancy Wine Education Fund.

Celebrity author, speaker & television host
Leslie Sbrocco kicks off the festivities with "Test your Wine Knowledge" where the audience will taste, laugh and learn as a blind tasting panel of rising star sommeliers tries to guess what's in their glass.  Guests can also meander through the San Francisco Wine School Grand Tasting featuring Wines of the World, Gourmet Bites, Sabering, Hilarious Service Olympics, Auction & More!

GLANCY WINE EDUCATION FUND
San Francisco Wine School believes that every motivated and engaged student should have access to high quality, professional education in their trade. Sadly, many jobs in hospitality and the wine industry pay well below equivalent positions in other industries and those truly passionate about their field, cannot afford the education they need to begin or advance their careers.  Since its inception in 2011, San Francisco Wine School has been providing tuition assistance and internship programs to worthy students interested in starting or advancing their career in the wine industry.  The launch of the Glancy Wine Education Fund will allow the school to greatly expand their ability to provide financial assistance to those in need.  All event profits and auction proceeds will go towards establishing this important fund.
